Q: Who are the celeb fans?
A: Rachel Stevens and Amanda Holden have both tried the Bio Sculpture Manicure.

Q: Why do they love it?
A: Perfectly groomed long nails are pretty incompatible with a busy life - and how often has your shiny new manicure chipped as soon as you've left the salon? Bio Sculpture Manicures are guaranteed not to chip, peel or lift, whether your rock climbing or just dashing around Tesco. The special Bio Sculpture Gel can be used to enhance your existing nails or to add lenth. while the high-gloss coating comes in a huge range of funky colours, including French.

Q: What is the secret ingredient?
A: The secret ingredient of this magic manicure is Bio Sculpture Gel. Developed by a South African company, it is strong enough to resisit bumps and knocks, and the manicure should stay perfect for about four weeks (after which you can either have the gel soaked off or any growth refilled). It also protects, conditions and strengthens your nails.

Q: So what happens?
A: The technician files your nails, paints on a nourishing treatment, then fits a little cardboard "jacket" around each nail. The tips are built up using the natural coloured Bio Sculpture Gel and a strip of silk is applied along the nail for extra strength. After each coat of Gel - about four - you put your hand in a UVA heater for two minutes to set it, then the therapist files the nail into shape before adding the next layer. She finishes with a coat of clear polish for extra shine. The whole process takes an hour and a half.

Q Does it hurt?
A: No. It was just like a normal manicure - except a bit longer.

Q: Does it work?
A: In a word - yes! Our tester was thrilled with her glamorous, glossy long nails, which stayed flawless for over a month. They also looked far more natural than other types of extensions.
